Eyebrows Tattoo Removal Frequently Asked Questions

What is PhiRemoval?

As a PhiAcademy brand, PhiRemoval is a non-laser technique that aims to remove unwanted pigment. For example, micropigmentation cosmetic tattoos; eyebrows, eyeliner or eyeliner, lip color, lip liner, and body tattoos. The main goal of PhiRemoval is to extract the pigment of the tattoo without endangering the health of the skin. KATE OFFERS EYEBROWS TATTOO REMOVAL ONLY.

How PhiRemoval works?

PhiRemoval solution is applied to the treatment area in a similar way as Shading technique by using different styles of blades or cartridges to drive the solution into the skin. During this process, the PhiRemoval solution is drawn into the top layer of the skin which extracts the pigment.

How many sessions do I need to remove the unwanted tattoo?

Unfortunately, we do not know the amount of pigment that was inserted in the area; therefore, old tattoos require additional treatments to be completely removed. On the other hand, it will be easier to extract the pigment of a fresh tattoo. To minimize potential skin irritation, the PhiRemoval process may be prolonged over multiple session over a period of time.

How long do I have to wait between removal sessions?

It is important to wait 4 to 6 weeks between sessions to let the skin to heal.

What to expect after the Removal Treatment?

The wound becomes slightly swollen, red and tender for the next two days following the procedure. Clear fluid (lymph, plasma) will be oozing from the wound by cleaning the area. Client must keep the wound dry and avoid heavy sweating. A crust will be formed and naturally peeled away for 10 to 14 days.

When can I have my eyebrows microbladed or shaded after the unwanted pigment is removed?

Once the unwanted pigment is removed, a 90-day wait period is required to have the micopigmentation treatment performed. This is the time the skin needs to be completely healed and regenerated.

Does Phi Removal Treatment hurt?

Base on client feedback, most people experience mild pressure or discomfort. Of course, this will depend on your own personal tolerance for pain. Some level of pain or discomfort should be expected. Numbing cream is used throughout the procedure.

IMPORTANT: Treatment is avoided during the menstrual cycle because of increased sensitivity to pain and extreme bleeding.

How much does it cost?

Treatment cost is USD 120 per session.

Can I smoke and/or drink alcohol before and/or after the treatment?

Client cannot smoke and/or drink alcohol before and after a treatment. Avoiding smoking or vaping of substances like tobacco, cannabis, or others and drinking alcohol before and after a treatment is very important for several reasons:

1. Blood Flow and Healing

Alcohol can thin your blood, which can increase the risk of excessive bleeding during the procedure.

Smoking restricts blood flow and reduces oxygen levels, which can slow down the healing process. This can result in more noticeable scarring or poor pigment retention.

2. Inflammation and Swelling

Alcohol can increase inflammation and swelling, which can affect how the skin heals post-procedure. Excessive swelling can distort the appearance of your new brows as they heal.

Smoking also contributes to inflammation, which can make healing more difficult.

3. Infection Risk

Alcohol can impair your immune system's ability to fight off infections. After the treatment, your skin is essentially an open wound, and consuming alcohol may slow down your immune response, increasing the risk of infection.

Smoking reduces your body's ability to heal wounds and fight infections, which can make your healing process slower and more complicated.

4. Pain Sensitivity

Alcohol can dull pain sensitivity, which might mask any discomfort you feel during the procedure. However, once the numbing effect wears off, you might feel more pain or discomfort during healing.

Smoking can also increase sensitivity and discomfort during healing.

5. Better Results

Both smoking and drinking alcohol can impact how well your skin heals. By avoiding them before and after your appointment, you're giving your skin the best chance to heal properly.

General Advice:

It's recommended to avoid alcohol and smoking or vaping for at least 7 days before and 7 days after your appointment to achieve best results.
